FIX MY STEREO

You've upgraded everything. It still doesn't sound magical.

AudioBro helps you work out why the speakers will not disappear and why vocals will not lock into the centre. One intelligent move worth testing first—before you buy anything else.

DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?

This page is for the listener who has already done the work.

The speakers never disappear.
Vocals don't quite lock into the centre.
Every upgrade improves something, but you're still chasing the performance you heard in the showroom.
You spend more time moving speakers than listening to music.

The missing magic is not evidence that you bought the wrong system.

THE LISTENING EXPERIENCE

What you are chasing is not another feature.

The system does not have to sound bad to remain deeply disappointing. What is missing is often the believable, effortless presentation the investment promised.

Speakers that stop sounding like boxes
A phantom centre that remains stable
Vocals with body, scale and believable placement
A stage that extends beyond the loudspeakers without losing focus
Bass that supports the image instead of pulling attention away from it
The emotional connection that makes you stop evaluating and start listening

These are listening goals. Your room, setup and available evidence determine which change is defensible.

Another upgrade cannot fix a relationship problem.

Loudspeaker spacing, listening distance, toe-in, boundary clearance and left-to-right room asymmetry can stop capable equipment from producing a stable image. AudioBro begins by understanding the relationship between the system, the room and what you hear.

The system may already contain the performance you are trying to buy.

ONE CONTINUING CONSULTATION

One stereo. One room. One remembered investigation.

Start with the symptom, a room photograph and the setup you already have. AudioBro identifies the strongest working hypothesis and gives you one intelligent move worth testing first, with a clear audible result to listen for.

When you return with the result or new evidence, the investigation continues from that room instead of beginning again.

AudioBro does not replace listening, REW or your existing setup knowledge. It connects the supported evidence you provide into the next decision.

THE RESULT STAYS CONNECTED

One intelligent move worth testing first.

AudioBro remembers the room context, the reason for the recommendation and what you were asked to listen for. The next decision begins from the result rather than from a blank form.

FLAGSHIP PROOF · REAL REFERENCE SYSTEM

MartinLogan
MartinLogan electrostatic loudspeakers in an anonymised open-plan listening room.Annotated placement diagram showing the speakers moved into the room and widened where practical.

The system stayed. The relationship with the room changed.

A reference electrostatic system in a modern constrained apartment listening room sounded loose and unfocused despite premium equipment. AudioBro identified the room and listening geometry as the first bottleneck. Over three hours of guided consultation, both loudspeakers were moved approximately 20 cm farther into the room, spacing was increased where practical, and the listening position moved forward. The customer reported a dramatic, immediately audible improvement in clarity, focus and musical presentation. Interior-integrated acoustic treatment has been approved, paid for and ordered; installation and evaluation remain pending. Measurement verification by controlled REW sweep is the next evidence stage.

Read the audible problem and domestic constraints.

02

Prioritise geometry before treatment or equipment.

03

Change placement and listening position one step at a time.

04

Compare familiar music at a consistent level.

Using familiar reference tracks, the customer reported a dramatic, immediately audible improvement in clarity, focus and overall musical presentation.

No new loudspeakers. No new amplifier. First, a better physical relationship between the system and the room.

THE METHOD

Better stereo comes from changing the right relationship first.

01

Describe

Tell AudioBro what does not sound believable.

02

Understand

Connect the room, current setup and what you hear.

03

Separate

Keep visible clues distinct from confirmed evidence.

04

Test

One intelligent move worth testing first.

05

Listen

Listen for one expected audible difference.

06

Return

Keep, reject or measure the result, then continue from the same room.

One change at a time protects the system you already own and makes the result easier to trust.

SUPPORTING PROOF

More real systems.

QUESTIONS, ANSWERED

Before you begin.

Do I need REW or a measurement microphone to begin?

No. Begin with what you are hearing, a room photograph and your current setup. A photograph can provide useful visual context, but it is not a measurement and AudioBro keeps that distinction clear.

What should I upload first?

Start with one clear photograph that shows both speakers, the listening position and the room around them. Add basic room dimensions and speaker-to-seat distance when available.

Can AudioBro help if the problem is imaging rather than bass?

Yes. Fix My Stereo is built around disappearing speakers, stable centre image, believable vocals, soundstage and tonal connection—not bass alone.

Will AudioBro tell me to replace my speakers?

It does not begin by blaming the equipment. It tests the relationship between the speakers, seat and room first. Equipment or treatment should only enter the recommendation when the available evidence justifies it.

What if my room cannot be made symmetrical?

Perfect symmetry is not required. AudioBro works with real domestic constraints, identifies the strongest defensible hypothesis and chooses a practical change that can be tested in the room you actually have.

What does “one intelligent move worth testing first” mean?

It means one controlled physical change, one expected audible difference and one clear check before anything else changes. A recommendation is not verified improvement until the result is tested.

How do I know whether the change helped?

AudioBro tells you what to replay, what to listen for and what must remain unchanged. Your listening report is meaningful evidence; a calibrated retest is used when measured verification is needed.

Can I return with listening feedback or measurements?

Yes. Fix My Stereo is a remembered investigation. Return with what you heard, an updated photograph or measurements and continue from the same room context.

What is included with Starter?

Starter includes the core Fix My Stereo journey, room-photo and setup context, practical recommendations, project saves and the continuing Build + Fix journey flow.

When would Pro be useful?

Pro is useful for deeper evidence and longer-running decisions, including advanced analysis, REW and MDAT interpretation, measurement validation, exact positioning workflows and greater room capacity.

What happens if I already have an active stereo investigation?

Continue the existing room journey so its setup, evidence, recommendation and result remain connected. Starting again should not be necessary for the same room problem.

What if I prefer a human to review the room?

Room Review is the done-for-you alternative for listeners who want an AudioBro consultant to examine the available evidence and prepare the recommendations.
